Racoon Removal: What to Know About Removing These Critters
Video Script
In their natural habitat, which is usually trees, raccoons are actually quite beneficial critters. They're sweet, small, and tend to eat all sorts of annoying pests like wasp larvae, which keeps the wasp population under control. So what exactly are the steps that Armadillo Wildlife takes to safely remove a raccoon from your premises? Keep watching to find out!
PHASE 1
The process starts by performing a comprehensive end-to-end inspection of your home and property to identify all primary and secondary entrance points. That includes potential entrance points that may not be used now but could be used in the future. The removal service will also inspect your attic and crawl space to look for raccoon urine and feces.
PHASE 2
After a thorough inspection, your removal experts will come up with a customized raccoon removal action plan. You'll see digital photos so that you can see what is going on behind the scenes. Plus, they'll answer all of your questions in a clear, honest and transparent manner. Remember: there is no such thing as a bad question, so don't be afraid to ask away!
PHASE 3
Once you are 100% comfortable with your customized action plan, the experts will meticulously carry it out. When possible, a raccoon cage is installed that will capture the animal as they move in or out of your house. They then remove and relocate the raccoon. Also note that if you have a raccoon in your living space right now, then it may be necessary to use an animal control stick to seize the animal around the neck and place it into the trap. The raccoon is unharmed during this process and the sooner you remove the raccoon, the less damage they can cause to your home.
PHASE 4
With the raccoon, itself removed from your home or office, the team will then come in and clean up any droppings left by the critter. This is an important step of the process, as raccoon feces contains a type of ringworm that can be quite dangerous to other humans and animals.
PHASE 5
Finally, you can expect a debriefing. You'll get an in-depth analysis of how they get into your home in the first place and what you can do to prevent future raccoon infestations. The perfect company won't leave until you're 100% satisfied, so don't be afraid to speak up.
